Common questions
If yours isn’t here, ask us. The answer usually helps the next couple too.
Where are you based, and will you travel?
We're in London and film across the UK most weekends. We travel abroad too. Tell us where the wedding is and we'll quote travel and accommodation as a separate line so you can see exactly what it costs.
When will we get our film?
Your trailer lands about a month after the wedding and the full film follows within two months. Photographs take around two months. If anything is going to slip, we tell you before the date passes, not after.
Can we choose the music, or ask for particular moments?
Yes, and we'd rather you did. Send us songs that mean something to you and a list of the people and moments we must not miss: the aunt who flew in, the speech your brother has been writing for a year. We build the edit around that list.
Do you film traditional ceremonies?
Often. Ghanaian, Nigerian, Caribbean and South Asian ceremonies are a large part of what we do, and we plan for them properly: we ask who the key family members are, when the ceremony actually starts, and what it would be unforgivable to miss.
What's the difference between the trailer and the full film?
The trailer is three to five minutes, the version you'll share. The full film runs fifteen to sixty minutes and keeps the speeches, the vows and the ceremony close to whole. Most couples take both.
How would you describe your filming style?
Documentary first. We may stage some moments or direct some parts of your day for visual, aesthetic and storytelling purposes. The grade is warm and film-like rather than heavily stylised, so it will still look right in ten years.
How many of you will be there?
It depends on the size of your wedding: one filmmaker for smaller days, or two as standard, so one can stay with each of you during the morning and we can cover the ceremony from two angles. A third joins for weddings over 150 guests or for a ceremony and reception in different places.
Can we meet before we book?
Always. A half-hour video call, no charge and no pressure. You'll meet the person who will actually be filming your wedding, not a salesperson.
How do we book, and can we pay in instalments?
After the call we send an invoice that doubles as the contract. A 50% deposit holds the date and the balance can be split into monthly payments up to a month before the wedding.
Are you insured?
Yes, full public liability and equipment cover. Venues that ask for certificates can have them sent directly.
What if something goes wrong on the day?
Every camera records to two cards at once and footage is backed up to two drives before we leave the venue. We carry spare bodies, spare lenses and spare audio. If one of us falls ill, we have filmmakers we trust who can step in.
Find out if your date is still free
We take a limited number of weddings a year so we can give each one the time it needs. Saturdays in summer go first.
